Kluki: The AI Homework Coach That Helps Parents Help
Kluki coaches parents, not children: snap the homework, get the answer and learn how to explain it so your child works it out, curriculum-aligned, in German, Turkish or English.

It’s 8 pm. Your child is stuck on a maths task, you look at the page, and you realise you don’t know how they teach this today. You could look up the answer, but then your child learns nothing. You could explain it your way, but tomorrow the teacher will say “that’s not how we do it”. This is the moment I built Kluki for.
Kluki is an AI homework coach for parents. You photograph the homework, and Kluki gives you the answer and shows you how to teach it: which question to ask first, which hint to give when they’re stuck, which example fits their age. Your child works it out instead of copying. You lead.
The problem: parents want to help, but the tools are built for the wrong person
Three things make homework evenings harder than they need to be:
- Methods have changed. Maths, reading and writing are taught differently than 20 or 30 years ago. Parents who went to school in another country or another language, like many Turkish-speaking families in Germany, face an extra gap.
- Answer apps skip the learning. Photo-solver apps are built for students: they show the solution, the child copies it, and nothing sticks. Teachers know it, and so do the children.
- Tutoring is expensive and not there at 8 pm. When a child is stuck, help is needed now, not at next Thursday’s lesson.

What Kluki does differently: it coaches the parent
Every learning app I looked at talks to the child. Kluki talks to the person sitting next to the child. You describe your child once (age, grade, interests, how long they can focus), and from then on every explanation is shaped for this child and for you as the guide.
That changes the conversation at the table. Instead of “the answer is 24”, you get something like: start by asking how many groups there are; if they hesitate, draw the groups together; only then move to the multiplication. Your child reaches the answer themselves, and you stay the person who helped.
What you can do with Kluki
- Snap & coach. Photograph a task and get the answer plus a step-by-step plan for explaining it to your child.
- Check their work. Photograph the finished page, including handwriting. Kluki shows what is right, where a mistake is, and how your child can find it on their own.
- Exam planner. Enter the exam date and the topics. Kluki builds a day-by-day plan with breaks and spaced review, and re-plans when life gets in the way.
- Curriculum quizzes. Short, playful quizzes with points, stars and explanations, built on the official curriculum for your child’s grade.
- Progress for the whole family. A weekly report, report-card reading, a family calendar with school holidays and reminders, and an archive, so you can see what has stuck and what needs practice.

Built on real curricula, in three languages
Kluki follows four official curricula, so the practice matches what is actually taught in class:
| Curriculum | Grades | Topics in the app |
|---|---|---|
| Berlin (Rahmenlehrplan) | 1–13 | Main subjects, from maths and German to the sciences |
| Türkiye (MEB) | 1–12 | 1,016 |
| England (National Curriculum, GCSE, A level) | Years 1–13 | 1,317 |
| United States (Common Core, NGSS) | 1–12 | 901 |
The app works in German, Turkish and English. Quiz questions can come in the language of the school or in another of the three, which helps bilingual families a lot: a child in a Berlin school can practise in German, and a parent who is more comfortable in Turkish can still follow every step. Berlin comes first because that’s where I live and launch; the next step is a teacher review of each curriculum per country.
Why Kluki is the better way to help
| Photo-solver apps | Private tutoring | Kluki | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who it talks to | The child | The child | The parent |
| Gives the answer | To the child | No | To the parent, with how to teach it |
| Available at 8 pm | Yes | Rarely | Yes |
| Follows the curriculum | Sometimes | Depends on the tutor | Yes, four official curricula |
| Languages | Varies | Usually one | German, Turkish, English |
| Cost | Low | High per hour | Free plan, one family subscription |
The point isn’t to replace teachers or tutors. It’s to make the evening at the kitchen table work: a calm parent who knows the next step, and a child who finds the answer themselves.
Trust by design
An app that families use with their children has to earn trust. That’s why Kluki:
- says plainly that it uses AI and can make mistakes, and lets you report a wrong answer with one tap;
- asks for your explicit consent before anything is sent to the AI provider;
- keeps homework photos and photos of your child on your phone;
- lets you delete your account inside the app;
- is made for parents (18+), not for children on their own.
Free plan and Premium
Kluki will have a free plan with one curriculum subject per child and all its quizzes, three AI helps to try, the calendar, the archive and progress tracking. Kluki Premium adds all subjects, photo coaching and homework checks, exam plans, report-card insights and the weekly report, for every child in the household on one subscription.
Who’s behind Kluki
I’m Alper Cengiz, a Berlin-based developer of AI apps and producer of AI video, including Whisker Woods, an animated bedtime series for little ones. Kluki brings both sides together: I build AI products end to end, from the idea to the store, and as a Turkish speaker in Berlin I see first-hand how hard school can be for families who learned in another system. You can read more on the Kluki project page.
When can you try it?
Kluki is planned to launch on the App Store and Google Play in late 2026. Want to be one of the first families to use it? Request early access here: it takes a minute, and early families on the list get Kluki Premium free until the end of 2026.
FAQ
Does Kluki give the answer?
Yes, to the parent. Kluki shows you the solution and, step by step, how to explain it to your child with questions, hints and examples, so your child works it out instead of copying. When you check finished homework, it finds the mistakes and explains the correct way.
Which grades and curricula does Kluki cover?
Kluki follows four official curricula: Berlin (grades 1 to 13), Türkiye MEB (grades 1 to 12), England (Years 1 to 13, including GCSE and A level) and the US (Common Core and NGSS, grades 1 to 12).
Which languages does Kluki support?
The app works in German, Turkish and English, and quiz questions can be asked in the language of the school or in another of the three.
What happens to my child’s photos and data?
Kluki asks for your explicit consent before anything is sent to the AI provider, keeps homework and child photos on your phone, and lets you delete your account inside the app. It is made for parents (18+), not for children directly.
When can I use Kluki and is it free?
Kluki is planned to launch on the App Store and Google Play in late 2026; early families on the email list get Premium free until the end of 2026. There will be a free plan and a Premium subscription that covers the whole family.
